More information about VaroCare

VaroCare products are easy to apply, with the aim of encouraging wearer self-management and simplifying the application of compression bandages. Whereas the proper application of a compressive bandage is the result of thorough training, VaroCare is so easy to use that the wearer can put it on and take it off independently or with assistance in most situations.

The strength of VaroCare lies in the unique combination of ultra-limited length stretch of the soft base material, the thoughtful anatomical design, the sewn-in fixation sleeve and the removable/loose Velcro straps. Thanks to the loose Velcro straps, the VaroCare products are easily washable and low maintenance.

VaroCare is available in ready-to-wear in Lite and Strong grades. VaroCare Lite for light to moderate edemas and VaroCare Strong for heavy edemas. Each to be worn in combination with VaroCare accessories. VaroCare products can also be ordered in sets.

Once closed, VaroCare does its work during the day and/or night. As soon as the oedema decreases during the day, the VaroCare product can be quickly and easily adjusted (independently) so that the working pressure remains optimal and the product can start working again.

Once the treated body part has been made edema-free using a VaroCare product, a Varodem therapeutic elastic stocking can then be fitted to maintain (consolidate) the result achieved.

If the patient cannot tolerate or handle aftercare with therapeutic elastic stockings, it is also possible to consolidate the oedema with a VaroCare product. All in all, a cost-saving compression aid.

Sewn-in fixation sleeve and more...

VaroCare products feature a number of product additions per segment that optimize ease of donning, compression or wearing comfort. For example, the VaroCare lower leg, knee, thigh and arm bandages feature a sewn-in fixation sleeve. The sleeve provides unparalleled donning comfort for the wearer. As soon as you slide the body part through the sleeve, the product stays in place during donning. This leaves you with two hands free to apply tension to the straps. Should you not want to use the sewn-in fixation sleeve, you can place the relevant body part on top of the sleeve. For more information per segment, click on the light blue dots.

VaroCare in wound care

The VaroCare products are ideally suited in the treatment of wound care. The compression that the VaroCare product gives on the body part ensures that oedema is reduced. In addition, this pressure stimulates blood circulation. Do not apply VaroCare products directly to open wounds but always use regular wound dressings.

Another advantage of using VaroCare products in wound care is that it is possible to loosen the VaroCare straps. This allows relatively quick wound care to be applied and within a minute the VaroCare can be re-tensioned. By re-tensioning the straps, the compression is optimal again.
